Abstract

The title of this paper is "Grammatical Errors in English by Vendors at Kuta Beach Bali". In this paper, I focus my research on the types and factors causing of grammatical errors which are found in Kuta Beach Bali. In doing this research, I apply some steps of methodology such as data source, data collection, data analysis and presenting the result of analysis. The data source for this research was taken from some informants or vendors in Kuta Beach Bali. I choose Kuta because there are so many grammatical errors are happened between the vendors and tourist. In collecting the data, I use field research technique by applying the method of interview guide, check list and note taking. In analyzing the data, I apply the grammatical errors theory which is proposed by H. Douglas Brown (2007) in his book entitled Principles Language Learning and Teaching and Dulay, Burt and Krashen in his book entitled Language Two. The result of this field research shows five types of Errors there are omission, addition, misinformation, misordering and grammatical error, from the data source were found only seven analyzed there are singular and plural, word form, word choice, verb tense, add a word and omit a word, the word order and articles.
