Abstract
Road between Southwest Sumba‐Sumba Southwestern is a country road that connects the two districts. In these road accidents often occur somewhat in 2006‐2010, there were 435 incidents. Accidents often occur due to the human factor, ie the driver as the road users. The effort ‐ an effort to reduce accidents should be tailored to the characteristics of the accident. The initial steps are the secondary data search in West Sumba District Department of Transportation in the form of accident data from 2006 ‐2010, which occurred on the road between Southwest Sumba‐West Sumba. The primary data obtained by field surveys to determine the critical points of the segment crash identified as accident prone areas, the data is then analyzed to find the number of accidents to calculate accident‐prone areas with methods CUSUM (Cumulative Summary). From the analysis of accident‐prone areas obtained accident‐prone areas (black spots) on the first stationing more details on the 4‐5 kilometer CUSUM value is the highest value of all values in each CUSUM stationing or kilometers, cumulative summary value is 52.50.
