Abstract
Mount Batur Geopark is a popular destination for Geotourism in Bangli District. This caldera of Mount Batur having slopes with high potential of landslide disaster. This study aims to assess and map the landslide hazards to be used in determining the disaster risk reduction strategy. Considering the results of this study, a guideline for landslide prevention and mitigation could be established and promoted as a government policy and regulation for managing tourism infrastructures. The study took place in the Kintamani Sub-district of Bangli District which is an area of Mount Batur Geotourism. Ground movement hazard index was compiled using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The criteria included 7 indicators for the arrangement of landslide prone areas published in Public Works Ministerial Decree No. 22/PRT/M/2007. According to the decree, the region of Mount Batur Geopark is classified as the typology B with 500 - 2000 mdpl, with the percentage of high and very high potential of landslide hazard is 11% and 9%, respectively. The area with extremely high level of hazard is about 4216 ha located on the summit of Mount Batur. Meanwhile, the peak and slope of Mount Abang has a potential debris flow exposure directed to Trunyan, Abang Batudinding and Buahan villages. The impact area with high hazard potential is 5232 ha on the slopes of Mount Batur, with the dominant type of movement is rock fall or avalanche of rock
