Abstract
Suspended solids in the effluent MLSS (mixed liquid suspended solid) or often called organic active ingredient (activated sludge) is a result of fertilizer raw materials and treatment process of wastewater treatment technologies. Through the stages of the process and waste water treatment technology that consist of physical treatment, chemical, biological, such as filtration, flotation, sedimentation, chlorines, coagulation and regulate environmental conditions such as the addition of 6-9 hours of oxygen, 35% recirculation, nutrient addition of 0.24 g/g BOD/day/g MLSS, sludge age of 8.2 days, will produce the raw material quality of the effluent BOD efficiency and the parameters 88%, efficiency 17% total solids, suspended solids of 78% efficiency and the parameters of BOD, COD, TSS, ammonium, nitrate, nitrite tends to decline. The whole process of these technologies will produce the quantity and quality of fertilizer raw materials in the form of suspended solids in the effluent of about 640kg/day of elemental nitrogen containing 375 kg/day of elemental phosphorus and 75 kg/day. The results showed that the fertilizer raw material from the conventional technology affect the growth and yield of mustard (Brassica juncea L) and safe for consumption.
